Celebrating our PC51 cohort of young economists! 🎉
Thank you, @sperezattias, for guiding these future leaders to think critically, embrace diverse perspectives, and keep human connection at the center of their learning. 🌍

A new cohort of "young economists" from about 42 countries, which I had the privilege to teach for 2 consecutive years at @PCUWC
Congratulations PC51! The world needs more economists who believe that a better world is possible!
Celebrating our Climate Action Leaders!🌿
Yesterday, we gathered to honor the incredible CALD Y51 cohort for their hard work over the past 2 years.
Congrats to all who received their Certificates of Climate Action Leadership!

Today is #RedDressDay, honoring Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (#MMIWG2S). We wear red to remember those who have been silenced, to honor their spirits, and to demand justice. Take time to pause, educate, and hold space today.
This week, 7 paddles painted by our students were gifted to the SC’IȺNEW̱ Tribal Journey Family during the Awakening of the Paddle Ceremony.
Pointing to the sky, they symbolize friendship and peace. We are grateful to witness this bond with the SC’IȺNEW̱ Nation.
HÍSW̱KE to all
Great conversation about inclusive education & women's rights with the @CFUW_Saanich members!
We love finding new ways for our students to connect with such dedicated advocates. Thank you for hosting us and for the inspiring dialogue!

Proud of our students for a weekend of creative exploration!
This showcase highlights the 1st Year Collaborative Projects: original 'devised' theatre built from the ground up without a pre-existing script.

Recipes, crafts, entertainment, and cool ink were all aspects of Special Topics Day on Indigenous Pedagogies, but a deeper look reveals that everything was rooted in the power of resilience and the importance of relationships.

Life is fast so drive a fast car. Mike White (waterfront crew) took students to the UVIC F1 club to see some engineering in practice. Who do you think had the most fun?

Hiking to the birthplace of the Caycuse Cookie in Ditidaht and Pacheedaht territory.
The Cookie comes from a 750 year old Douglas Fir, cut down in 2020 during the #FairyCreek#oldgrowth conflict.
A print of the Cookie now hangs in the Max Bell Theatre.

Learn Today, Shape Tomorrow. Special Topics Day featured 15 workshops by staff and students of the #Climate Action Leadership Diploma demonstrating the impact our choices have on the planet we call home. Special thanks to Elder Bill Jones for lending his voice.
#Pearsonuwc is fueling the resurrection of the beloved Whale Interpretive Centre in Telegraph Cove, BC, through a donation of a 7-year-old marine mammal skeleton. The Centre is rebuilding after a devastating fire destroyed their facility on New Year’s Eve, 2024.
#Pearsonuwc welcomes 2026 with a new Board Chair - Matteo Stefanel. The Year 19 Pearson alum from Italy is the co-founder and CEO of Apis Partners, a private equity investment management firm, and has generously given back to the College since graduating in 1994.

“This was more than an education—it shaped my identity, friendships & future. Without the scholarship, none of it would’ve been possible.” ~ Valentina, YR50
