Let me explain something to Democrats commenting on Talarico being a “seminarian,” apparently believing that automatically makes him the Christian choice.

And you probably won’t get it, but that’s okay. I’m going to explain it anyway.

In the Book of James, people who assume the mantle of teacher but spread heresies are said to have “stricter” judgment that your average sinner. False teachers are repeatedly warned against throughout the scriptures, described as the worst types of wolves.

In other words, while you can point to Paxton’s past transgressions, and that’s fair to talk about, you need to understand that what Talarico does and has done is no less sinful.

And for the average devout Christian who isn’t part of a progressive heretical body, they see that and know that.

You may not get it. You may think all this Christian stuff is just about saying a few words. But it’s not. Heresy is a grave sin, and something Christians are expressly told to flee from.

So Christians are going to take that issue seriously in this race, even if it seems silly, unimportant, or unfair to you because you think, “Well, Talarico is nice so that makes him righteous.”

Not how it works.

Talarico used this to claim that Jesus was cool with abortion. He went on to lay out that you are not a Christian if you believe it is wrong to kill unborn children—even more…you must be cool with funding it.

Talarico has also said you aren’t a Christian if you are against open borders.

He is what coastal and Austin leftist think is a “true Christian” because they don’t know anything about Christianity.

I’m a little puzzled at people saying things like, “well, it is only $500m here, or $30b there.” That is more money than most people’s entire family and extended families will pay in taxes for a many, many generations.
Taxes are an efficient way to extract wealth for necessary services, but for the 20-30% of your work that is collected via taxes you are a slave to the federal government.
Understand that this is money that was stolen from you and your family. When the govt wastes money it is stealing. We pay taxes for defense. We pay taxes roads. We do not pay taxes for left-wing media and trans operas in Ireland.

If an employee of your business was entrusted with your corporate debit card and instead of buying supplies for the company they were buying cruises for their friends you’d have them arrested for embezzlement.

There’s a big, online campaign going on in lefty land right now in Texas to keep poor and middle class kids from being able to get out of their failing public schools and get a good education.
From what I can gather, the lefty argument is that poor and middle class kids shouldn’t be able to attend better schools because some rich people might also benefit from the program.
In order to avoid accidentally benefiting some rich kids who are already attending private schools we need to make sure that those dirty poor and slightly less dirty middle class kids are stuck in failing schools.
Great work, Texas democrats. Strong stuff. Well reasoned. That’ll show those rich kids!
