There is going to be a significant performance boost with the new processor. However, if you are low on budget then first invest on the RAM. As for VFX editing, I will take a guess and assume you use After Effects. RAM upgrade will make a huge difference than anything else for it

@Samosa_99 For now just wait. You have Nvidia 30 series card coming out and you have AMD RDNA2 coming out soon. And their performance will be amazing and cheap.

@Andylaiyogon @nvidia This connects to your case's front panel. Its your power switch connector. It will also have connections for hdd light etc. This is a crucial item without which you cannot start your PC. Please connect it to your motherboard.

@Bennmorley If your budget cannot cover the more expensive processor right now then I would suggest just wait and save as the parts I mentioned really help a lot in the long run.

@Bennmorley For streaming you require a really good processor. I would suggest the Ryzen 2700X instead as that will make sure you have no stuttering or dropped frames. Please get 16GB of RAM as you'll need that much when streaming with multiple programs open. Happy Building!
