If you want to reach the stars, don’t focus on making kids scientists or engineers or force them to immerse themselves in math. Instead, teach them to long for the endless immensity of space and the majesty of the unknown. They will take care of the rest themselves.

A5 #dcpsedchat While watching students working as a group in an immersive simulator I observed a level of engagement I had never seen before. It was real to them and as a result you could actually see them applying what they had learned in the classroom.
NASA Flight Director Gene Krantz once said "To recognize that the greatest error is not to have tried and failed, but that in trying, we did not give it our best effort". Isn't that a lesson we should be teaching children in school as opposed to "everyone is a winner".
