We must demand that they represent the expressed will of the people they serve, including removing ICE from our streets. We must demand justice and an end to this lethal chaos.

I believe we can reverse this slide toward division and hate. Facing this moment with a return to empathy and love for one another might sound naive, but it’s ultimately what will move our country forward and out of this.”

I’m gutted. Sick to my stomach. This isn’t a glitch in the system—this is the system working exactly as the orange traitor designed it. ICE isn’t law enforcement anymore; it’s a death squad wearing badges and MAGA cosplay. Kristi Noem’s out here defending the shooter like he’s the real victim. Meanwhile Walz is screaming for sanity, prepping the Guard, and declaring days of unity while the feds block every real investigation. Classic Trump: turn grief into propaganda, then blame the grieving.

We should be ashamed. We should be furious. Hell, we should be rioting in the streets with pitchforks and bad poetry. But here’s the sick comedy of it all: the same people screaming “law and order” just turned a minivan into a crime scene because a woman wouldn’t bow to masked kidnappers. Still… I see the candles. The vigils. The neighbors holding signs that say “No ICE zone” like it’s 1776 all over again. I see Walz refusing to shut the fuck up. I see thousands marching without burning shit down (yet). That’s the part that keeps me from drinking myself into next week.

We’re wounded, yeah. Bleeding bad. But we’re not dead. Not yet. This country’s got more fight left in it than the draft-dodging emperor wants to admit. So keep filming the bastards. Keep voting the clowns out. Keep writing the poems that scare them. Renee deserved better. We all do.
