Sophistry can be visual too.
The trick here is to simply call the million things he has to worry and think about one thing: "work."
But they just pretend all of that is one little block.
They don't give her an even smaller block just called "home."
No, they split her block up in to a bunch of blocks, which makes it look like she's pulling a lot more than he is.
But she isn't. If she is the sort of woman who would post this meme, she's almost certainly pulling less.
The fact that she has the privilege of being able to be a stay at home mom, which, yes, is a direct result of his working, means she is almost certainly pulling a lighter load that he is.
He is working in no small part to allow her to be a stay at home mom, and the person who made this meme wants her to be PROFOUNDLY UNGRATEFUL for her privilege and PROFOUNDLY UNFAIR to her husband.
No one suggested her life as a stay at home mom is free of work or responsibility, which should be acknowledged.
But this "Oh I'm so oppressed on account of my privilege" is just bad.
@MixtapeTheology I can still remember that damned fan slowly spinning in the background while he spoke.
Never mind that served no function.
It looked like it was doing something.

@MichaelFKane@Devon_Eriksen_ Planning to!
Just finished After Moses on Sunday night. Now it's my wife's turn to read it.
I liked how the chapters progressed from episodic/world building to more hook-driven by the end. Sort of like each chapter was an episode of a show.
I read 50-60 books a year. Nonfiction, fiction. Hardcopy, Kindle or audio.
There's still some 2026 left, but I gotta say. 2 of this year's best novels are indie.
Theft Of Fire by @Devon_Eriksen_
And
After Moses by @MichaelFKane
Trad isn't king. Not anymore.
Viva indie.
I can't prove it, but I think Gordon Lightfoot's "Daylight Katy" intentionally quotes from Brian Wilson's "i just Wasn't Made for These Times."
you be the judge.

@thedadlitpod This is one of my personal bookshelves.
I count 3โmaybe 4 titles that weren't purchased used.
Add 5 full cases with the same ratio.
Kindle full of Indie to boot.
Of course men read.
We're just undocumented readers.
