@SourPatXhKi Fairfax County police carry glock 17’s. 17 rd magazine with a round in the chamber for a total of 18 rds. There were 18 rds fired by the perp when he stole the officers gun in the car. He still had the gun when removed from the car which is why he was shot by the other officer.
