Scary to think that I was enrolled as a cadet at @2529BurgessHill on this day in 1984, and it was a Friday 13th too!
Our first 7 female cadets were also enrolled that night & rightly they got the press coverage. Three of us made CWO.
Where has that time gone?

After the effect of 'Mr Bates vs the Post Office', let’s hope Toby Jones is also working on new TV dramas about water pollution, climate change, covid, PPE contracts, the refugee crisis, the cost of living, energy prices, and the NHS
Today cadets across the Eastern Sector of Beds & Cambs Wing have been working together and putting into practice all of their expedition training as part of a DofE expedition training day.

The effect you will have on those young people in your charge will be amazing. Thank you and enjoy the experience. Without people like you, I would never have joined the RAF (big shout out to Pete Ephgrave and Doug Crew who led 2386 Sqn ‘back in the day’)!
At the start of the year we set ourselves some targets and here's our progress so far, at the end of Q1.
Great work and achievement from everyone.

Scores would be given based on taste, looks and meeting the brief. Three plucky volunteers were recruited from the staff team to conduct the reviews and taste tests.

Despite earlier confusion on the faces of the cadets, the results were far better than expected and some good scores were received.
No staff members were harmed as a result of their taste testing 😊

Plenty of supervised handwashing started the evening and every time a cadet retrieved their phone to take pictures, they’d be whisked off to wash their hands again.

The week the cadets faced a ‘Masterchef Dessert Challenge’.
Each team received the same briefing and ingredients and had to produce 3 desserts to meet specific criteria and were given the option of creating a bonus dessert.
