BREAKING: The Federal High Court in Abuja has authorized the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to apprehend ex-Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State ahead of his scheduled court appearance on Thursday.

Justice Emeka Nwite approved the warrant earlier today upon the request of the EFCC.

The Kogi State High Court issued a contradictory ruling that prevented the EFCC from taking any action to apprehend, detain, or prosecute the former governor.

In the face of the recent cowardly attacks by armed bandits, I paid separate visits to communities affected by this menace in Zurmi and Birnin Magaji Local Governments.

The attack on innocent civilians and a station of the Nigerian Police Force in Nasarawan Zurmi in Zurmi LGA is condemnable. I want to assure the NPF and its men of my commitment to assist them in continuing operations unhindered in all parts of our State.

While expressing my deep, heartfelt condolences to the NPF and the families of the two officers who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty, I remain committed to finding lasting solutions to surmount insecurity in Zamfara for our State and our people to prosperity.
