Got off the phone with a dealership manager who was upset that I don’t service dealerships anymore.
A few years ago I was cold calling that same type of person and begging for a shot.
I stopped chasing volume and started serving the right people at the highest level.
You can win the entire day. Make moves. Stack wins. And that what’s next mentality(Tim Grover calls it the cleaner mentality in Relentless) will still take over the moment your head hits the pillow.I guess some of us just aren’t built to settle.
Singularity of focus could be a business superpower.
Too many people do a little of everything and that’s a mediocre mindset.
Commit to one thing. Get dangerously good at it and with a never peak mindset, you may never need to diversify.
Strive to lead instead of competing.
Here’s three things that limited the growth of my business:
1. I listened to people who aren’t living the life I want to live.
2. I paid attention to people or things that didn’t add value to my life or business.
3. I tried to be for every client and didn’t find my niche.
If your business isn’t growing then it’s shrinking. You cannot remain the same when your competitors are trying their best to take everything you are working for.
