The coalition behind the @PortlandBPS Portland Clean Energy Fund climate justice grant program. Jobs, clean energy, and green infrastructure for the people! 🌎☀
Each week, we face new, mounting evidence that climate change is accelerating, & our opportunity to respond is closing. We must act as quickly as possible.
Through @PDXCleanEnergy, we have the opportunity to complete big, bold projects.

Our first PCEF funded cooling units were installed last Friday at Kirkland Manor ahead of the hot temps this weekend. Thanks to our partners at @MidwayAlliance and @PDXCleanEnergy for keeping our elders safe this summer ☀️

We've reached the halfway point for this year's Heat Response Program installations thanks to the hard work of all the Community Distribution Partners. #PCEF#HeatResponseProgram#CoolingPDX https://t.co/WQwogRSp20
"The recent city audit of PCEF highlighted the ways in which it is walking the fine line between the risks required of those on the cutting edge of change and the scrutiny that comes with the use of public funding. In our view, that is the very work that is needed."

We share a common goal w/ our critics: to continuously improve @PDXCleanEnergy so it functions w/ unparalleled accountability, responsibility & transparency while achieving our critically important mission. (via @Oregonian, w/ @PortlandBPS) https://t.co/rpI5Maewyx
This month, funds from @PDXCleanEnergy allowed CEP to replace the oil heat of 6 homes owned by low-income seniors and #BIPOC communities. Thanks to #PCEF grants, CEP installed #energyefficient heat pumps so these homeowners won't have to choose to eat or heat come next winter.
Before the recent release of the City’s audit, the PCEF coalition partners had been in discussion about how the fund’s revenues could best be invested in line with the program’s central vision: climate action that advances racial and social justice for Portland.
We applaud the PCEF Grant Committee and staff for their excellent stewardship so far, and we look forward to continuing this work together as the program grows.
After reading @Oregonian’s article on 12/12, I directed city attorneys and @PortlandBPS staff to verify the information independently and to re-review Linda Woodley’s grant proposal on behalf of Diversifying Energy.
