“Between October 2023 and September 2024, Multnomah County recorded 11,243 evictions, according to Portland State University researchers with the program Evicted in Oregon. That compares with almost 6,000 in 2019, according to the Portland Housing Bureau.” 👇

These stats are abhorrent. Oregon legislators (a supermajority of whom are Democrats!) aren't standing up to the developer lobby.

We can't just build units with no price controls. We need rent control, eviction protections, and universal housing.
