Join us to fight for Renters Rights! We are a group of tenant organizers working to increase tenant power. Primarily associated with Portland DSA Housing.
Alright so we’re launching something, but you’re looking for more details and some beautiful slides you can share…. Look no further! Swipe on through and get a break down of each policy we are advocating for to improve the lives of Renters in Portland Multnomah County.
“Between October 2023 and September 2024, Multnomah County recorded 11,243 evictions, according to Portland State University researchers with the program Evicted in Oregon. That compares with almost 6,000 in 2019, according to the Portland Housing Bureau.” 👇
These stats are abhorrent. Oregon legislators (a supermajority of whom are Democrats!) aren't standing up to the developer lobby.
We can't just build units with no price controls. We need rent control, eviction protections, and universal housing.

PACKED house at our post election party celebrating the victory of our candidates @mitch4portland & @TeacherTiff4PDX — big energy to gird ourselves for the fight ahead!
Nearly 140 at our first post-election general meeting 🌹
A 2nd Trump admin will be catastrophic for the international working class. Relying on the Dems to defeat them isn’t working. An independent political party, rooted in the working-class majority is necessary ✊

So excited by the early results we are seeing so far! Nothing final yet but 5 of the 12 candidates in a position to pick up a seat on Portland City Council are supporters of a Renters Bill of Rights! Our organizing has paid off 😤❤️🔥 @PortlandDSA
Notable that the two candidates endorsed by @PortlandDSA — Koyama Lane & Green (on the city's westside!) — are in strong positions right now to win seats.
DSA put an unrivaled ground game behind both of them, while most campaigns struggled w/ volunteers.

If we just had a sanitation department they would clean sidewalks and pickup trash and without the whole shakedown local businesses and use tax dollars to harass homeless people part.
Good morning. I have submitted testimony that opposes agenda items on the ESD for today. I urge you to do the same and to contact your city council members asking them why they feel compelled to pass this now a full years ahead of contract renewal:
