@gmefan1684@pepemoonboy Same here. As far as I can tell, this is really the only slam dunk for home ownership. House hacking - especially if it’s a short term rental. Mine makes around 40k/yr. It is another few hours of work per week, but worth it.
@multdems Wow, There is some hope for the new mayor, Smith, and Ryan. The rest are, sadly, more of the same. More homeless enabling, bonds, and nonsense. My hope is that some (Morillo, perhaps?) are so far left that the grown-ups wake up, like we did with Hardesty, Eudaly, and Ianarone.
@gmandude777@reneforportland It's hard with family, jobs, and property in this town led by fools. Not always possible/realistic to just get the hell out. Wish it was.
@KOINNews For the love of sanity, do not vote for this person. Her ilk is the reason we are in a homeless disaster. Her “solutions” will lead to more enabling and more homeless. Her opponent has plenty of baggage, but will be less of a disaster.
@elliottyoungpdx Elliott, for a professor, you sure are dense. Read the room. Portland is sick of the current state of the city. Rene is CLEARLY the candidate most likely to clean up(the city, and with our votes!).
@portlandmercury Nobody is perfect and you can point to flaws in all the candidates. Rene is the best chance we have to lay the smack down on homelessness and rampant drug use plaguing the city.
@SteveRattner@Morning_Joe Break down the crimes by race. The broad strokes of migrant vs native born ignores the fact that some races commit way more of each of these crime types.
@SMeieran Sharon, the sane and rational people of this city appreciate you. You are fighting a good fight. I’m sorry the loudest voices sometimes win, while the thoughtful are dismissed.
