@SkySports@SkySportsPL Think Spurs could be in the top 5
Also, no way Newcastle is that low
West Ham should also stay up with Nuno slowly managing that squad better
“When my fiancé heard that I was getting booed, she was lying to me, basically telling me they weren't. Like I appreciated that a lot because it would’ve hurt me.”
USMNT winger Brenden Aaronson admits he’s an emotional guy and opens up about the boos he received at Leeds United.
It happened when he returned from his Union Berlin loan spell, and he talks about how his fiancé tried to help him mentally.
“Coming to the Premier League was always my dream first of all, I want to touch on that,” Aaronson said in a Sky Sports interview.
“When I first came to the Premier League, I was so lucky. That’s why I loved it at first, you know?
“But then you get hit by that reality of how it’s such a massive club, you got to play well, you know? You want to keep the team up.
“I put a lot of that on my shoulders, because that's the kind of player I am. I want to help the team the best I can.
“When I decided to come back to Leeds, it was definitely a tough decision, because I knew that it was going to be, I mean, the fan base is so loyal, you know, the fan base is amazing, they care about the team so much, they love this club to death, and I can't speak enough about it.
“So I kind of knew what I was getting back into, but it was tough, even coming back and even knowing what was going to happen mentally, getting booed at first was tough.
“When my fiancé heard that I was getting booed, she was lying to me, basically telling me they weren't.
“I knew that they were, but she was like, ‘No, they're not.’ Like I appreciated that a lot. At that time it would have hurt me,
“But yeah, and then you get through that again, another up and down, and that's why I said you kind of go through all this and you learn, you know?
“I think that's the best thing. What I've always learned and what I've always been my whole life is relentless.
“I would say I don't give up, you know what I mean. I'll keep going, and you know, I'll keep fighting for what I want and what I want is to play at the highest level, and you know, I don't let the little negative things kind of get me down.
“That's what I've learned so much, and that's how my mental space is at this point.”
Aaronson has now established himself as a regular in Leeds, playing 35 out of 36 Premier League games this season.
8 second rule for a corner
No pen and a dodgy offside on DCL
No pen + 20 replays to see A MAN WAS KICKED IN THE HEAD
13(!) minutes injury time that actually went to 15:30.
If I was a West Ham fan I’d be away in the head after that
@FootyAccums@NoTippyTappyPod@BoyleSports It was an absolute masterstroke when he did it and we went on a four game winning streak and stayed up on the final day v Tottenham
Between Starmer and Yvette Cooper saying that Labour will ‘reflect and respond’ it’s hard not to assume they’ll just lurch a little bit more rightward before going down in flames.
He’ll be toast by next week and it’ll be a Burnham/Streeting leader election within 6 months.
