MYTH: Teachers have a lot of downtime during the day.
Let's clear up another misconception:
When teachers are not with their students, they are managing a multitude of responsibilities, including:
✅Preparing lessons
✅ Grading projects
✅ Making schedules
✅ Talking to parents and outside agencies
✅ Answering emails / making phone calls
✅ Managing student conflicts and emotions
✅ Conferring with colleagues and administrators
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Please remember that behind the scenes, educators are working tirelessly to ensure your child's success. Help us debunk this myth by sharing this post! 💪📚
💪 Resilient and motivated educators create a positive learning environment, empowering students to thrive.
❤️ Our teachers deserve respect, understanding, and support for their unwavering dedication.
🌟 Why It's Crucial to Support Our Teachers 🌟
🍎 Our teachers are the architects of our future. They shape young minds, ignite curiosity, and inspire dreams.
🌟 Teacher well-being directly impacts student success. A burnt-out teacher can not help their students as effectively.
Teachers don't receive “overtime” pay, yet many parents reach out after work hours for non-emergency situations. Remember, teachers need time to unwind and focus on their families too!
1/3 of Island teachers surveyed said they would choose an alternate career path due to the realities they face in today’s classroom.

We won't stand for it any longer! It's time to call out this behaviour and demand respect for those who shape our children’s future.

In the words of a seasoned Junior High School Teacher with over 15 years of experience, “The social media bashing has been disheartening. Waking up with the fear that you are the focus of a negative post is something nobody should have to experience.”
Digital Financial Literacy to overcome the #1 STRESSOR in Canadians lives MONEY. An innovative initiative is needed to ensure the future well being of our youth #change
I have a beef with some Bachelor of Education Programs.
Please - enough theory & more practical!
Can you show me where we are teaching new educators about real life kids?
(Managing Behavior, Executive Function, Big Emotions, De-escalation, Planning for Unique Learners, etc)
The number 1 stressor in Canada is????? Money, yet we teach very little in our schools about financial literacy. We need an innovative initiative to teach our students about digital financial literacy for our children's future well being #0doubt
