Today, at the Agungi junction on Lekki road, I witnessed a man in a red car hitting a woman in the car. They were to my left and the light was red so I honked continuously to get people's attention and when no one came to me, I alighted from my car and started hitting on the red car's window and screaming at the man to stop. The woman rolled down and tried to open the door, I saw that there were two kids at the back. The man rolled up the window from his side and continuously 'elbowed' the woman. I then started asking cars close by for help. NOT ONE PERSON came down from their car.

As the red light came on, the man zoomed off and I just stood there, looking like a mad woman.

I am still in shock. Why didn't I take the plate number? If I had taken the plate number would it have done anything?

I have seen this happen to a neighbour before and just as I felt that time, I feel the same now; helpless, heartbroken and sorrowful.
