PESA Tutor & Mentor Gabriela Morales began her studies at the University of California Riverside intent on pursuing a career in law but her career aspirations shifted to teaching. She is applying to substitute teacher programs & plans to pursue a teaching credential in the future

Devapriya Roy is currently awaiting her acceptance letters from several #law#schools for the upcoming Fall. As she recalls her Teen Court days, Roy described how influential it was to interact with #TeenCourt judicial officers and #lawyers.

#PESA Lions is a club branch of Parents, Educators/Teachers and Students in Action (PESA) that was founded to provide #students with #volunteer and #internship opportunities as well as serve as a base for PESA in West Los Angeles.
At this year’s Justice Sunday on January 15th, #students from the Antelope Valley High School District highlighted African American history by performing "Electric Take Two," an event that educates about the cultural impact of African American artists throughout #history.
A #Mentor is defined as an experienced and trusted adviser. From our #youth to staff and beyond, mentorship is an integral part of how we #communicate and work with one another! We believe there is always something you can #learn from anyone.
This week we are highlighting Stacey Hovhannisyan. Stacey is currently a sophomore at Glendale Community College working towards her BA in History.
She has been with #PESA for over two years, primarily working as a #tutor and artistic designer for the PESA post.
