Hard to say since there is no competition for Career Mode and there have definitely been former PES players who switched but a lot of it is also improvements. Even many years ago Career Mode already was beginning to have stronger feature then Master League for example both youth academy and Regens in PES weren't great and now with all the improvements made we can see players playing longer which is a good sign that the improvements work. Like I said in the interview, still lots of things on our mind but I think the direction is great and I expect more and more people to enjoy Career Mode

@WilsdorfAndreas@EAFCconcepts Some producers in Japan believe that an offline career mode without microtransactions would overshadow other game modes that rely on this system as their main strength.
I personally think they are mistaken in assuming that career mode players are the ones who spend money online.
- There is no longer a mention to “Seabass” Takatsuka.
Here's what I've found interesting after investigating.
There may be other things to discover, full credits are available here: https://t.co/0ienWRRPsQ (9/9)
- Toru Nagai, Art director since PES 1, is now in "Production Support".
- Seitaro Kimura still executive director.
- Yuro Mizusaki is the only Assistant Producer.
- Jiro Sogo, who was "Assistant Producer" in last eFootball connect is here in “regional marketing coordination”.
- Hiroshi Nakanishi & Kei Masuda, two very important creative director from PES since long time are now Senior Director.
👉 I personally thought Masuda was no longer part of the team.
He was the Lead Developer for PES 13-14 era & had not made a public appearance since PES 2019.
- Naoya Hatsumi, one of the main Producer for a very long time is now in Brand & Promotion Design Team.
- Hajime Matsumaru, veteran director since PES 6 is now in Konami Hong Kong with Manorito Hosoda, former PES Producer too.
- Yoshiaki Sasaski is a new Assistant Producer.
- Takashi Onishi is the first mentioned as Director: He is a former motion programmer since PES 3 then became assistant director since PES 15.
- Yoshimasa Saito is a new Lead Planner who was not on former PES Team.
- Shin Tsuchiya remain Lead Gameplay Programmer since PES 15.
🌐 Global Marketing Team is one of the largest with 26 people.
📋 Data Scouting Team no longer includes any members outside of Japan - there are no more external data editors or model editors (except maybe Konami UK team).
🕹️ There are over 45 credited playtesters, all Japanese.
Some departments with significant changes:
🎮 Game Mechanics & Controls : From 13 to 2 (!) 🔻
👨💻 UI Programmers : From 17 to 6 🔻
✏️ UI Designers are mainly new devs 🔸
👨 3D Players Modeling : From 17 to 21 🔺
🛜 Online/Network : From 14 to 6 🔻
🎵 Sound Design : From 7 to 3 🔻
First we can see that the number of credited people remains significant, almost as much as in previous PES (~160)
However, there are some notable differences and overall, fewer people are credited in the programming department but more in the marketing & brand team. (3/9)
