---------------------------------------

Hello, this is the PESS Project Team.

First and foremost, we would like to sincerely apologize to all users of the **Pess App** for the deep concern caused by the recent service disruptions.

We are issuing this notice to transparently disclose the current status of our app operations and to share the critical challenges our project team is currently facing. The major updates and current situation are as follows:

---

### 1. Key Incidents & Security Status

* **Massive Theft of Core Tokens**
A critical security breach occurred, resulting in the unauthorized theft of approximately **1,982,000,000 PESS tokens**—a core asset absolutely vital for maintaining the PESS ecosystem. Immediately upon identifying the incident, we explored every possible technical measure, including tracking blockchain paths and attempting token recovery. However, due to the irreversible nature of blockchain technology, we have reached the painful conclusion that it is technically impossible to recover the stolen tokens.
* **Compromised Wallet Address:** `0x1946B59ecA6841fd43685D1578ebE7f2E59d1ef1`
* **Hacker's Wallet Address:** `0x6C4fAc823F6927751F4197FE604A37e68B3Cc2fF`

* **Continuous Security Threats & Today's Server Attack**
Following the massive token theft, malicious hacking attempts targeting our project system have persisted on a monthly basis. Today, another concentrated server attack by the hacker caused disruptions to certain functions, including in-app advertisement loading. Upon detecting the attack, we immediately blocked the corresponding IP address, and we are currently conducting emergency server recovery to minimize user inconvenience.

---

### 2. Operational & Financial Difficulties

* **Steady Decline in Revenue & Operating Cost Burden**
In addition to the recurring security threats, our revenue has steadily declined due to a continuous drop in eCPM. Currently, we are facing a situation where it is difficult to even cover basic server maintenance costs.
To be transparent, **our revenue for last month (May) was $1,500, and for this month (June), the revenue up to today stands at approximately $470.** Throughout this time, the development company has done its utmost to keep the project alive by funding development and operational costs out of pocket. However, under the current revenue structure and rising security expenses, we have reached a point where it is no longer sustainable to maintain further development and operations.

---

### 3. No Airdrop This Month & Future Plans

* **Cancellation of June Airdrop**
Due to the various ongoing issues and urgent system stabilization efforts, **there will be no airdrop this month.** We kindly ask for your understanding regarding this matter.
* **Upcoming Announcement on Future Plans**
Our team is currently engaging in deep, multifaceted discussions regarding whether we can overcome the aforementioned core token theft, continuous server attacks, and severe financial limitations to continue the service.
Accordingly, we will finalize the specific details regarding the future operation and direction of the PESS project and Pess App, and **we will issue another official announcement with our definitive plans within the month of June.**

---

We sincerely apologize once again for causing great concern to our valued users. As we are currently focusing all our available resources on managing the situation and establishing countermeasures, **please understand that we are unable to respond to individual inquiries one by one.**

Sincerely,

* The PESS Project Team -

Dear PESS Members,

First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for causing any concern to our valued members using the PESS service.

On May 20, 2026, at approximately 03:30 AM KST (May 19, 18:30 UTC), an abnormal malicious web attack and a massive influx of traffic targeted our servers via a specific IP address.

We took immediate security countermeasures and would like to transparently share the cause of this disruption and the subsequent actions taken to reassure our users.

1. Incident & Cause Overview
Time of Occurrence: Wednesday, May 20, 2026, for approximately 10 minutes around 03:30 AM KST

Attack Type: Continuous DDoS-like web attacks and malicious Command Injection attempts originating from a specific IP address (211.243.246.108).

2. Technical Details
The security equipment of 'Kipernet', the professional external security vendor that manages our infrastructure, initially detected the malicious attack and was executing real-time blocking controls.

However, the attacker precisely combined legitimate API calls with anomalous packets. In this process, certain variant attack patterns temporarily bypassed the security filtering layer and penetrated our internal servers. This resulted in a sudden depletion of backend database (MongoDB) and application resources, leading to temporary data retrieval failures and service latency.

3. Action Taken
Immediate Firewall Block: In addition to the existing web security solution blocks, we immediately implemented a permanent and complete ban on the offending IP address at the infrastructure firewall layer.

Resource Optimization: We immediately restored the depleted database and server resources and completed stabilization workflows.

4. Current Status
At this time, the malicious traffic has been completely blocked, and all server operations have returned to normal. Every feature within the app is fully accessible and running stably. We have thoroughly analyzed this specific attack pattern to further tighten our security policies and have significantly enhanced our monitoring systems to prevent any vulnerability to similar anomalous attacks in the future.

Once again, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to your service experience. PESS will continue to do its utmost to safeguard your precious data and maintain a highly secure service environment.

Thank you.

2. Google Play

-------------------

Hello,
We have identified an issue where advertisements from our partner networks may fail to load properly or get stuck on **"Infinite Loading."** Please follow the guide below to resolve this issue on your device.

---

### 1. Reset/Delete Advertising ID
This is the most common way to resolve conflicts within the stored advertising identification data.

* **Path:** [Settings] > [Google] > [All Services] tab > [Ads]
* **Action:** Tap **[Delete Advertising ID]** or **[Reset Advertising ID]**.

### 2. Clear Google Play Services Data (Proceed with Caution)
This step refreshes the system app responsible for ad delivery by clearing its cache and data.

* **Path:** [Settings] > [Apps] > [Google Play Services] > [Storage] > [Manage Storage]
* **Action:** Tap **[Clear All Data]**.
* **⚠️ Important Note:** * Performing this action may **log you out of your Google account** on your device.
* You may need to re-configure certain settings, such as paired Wear OS devices or Google Pay methods. Please ensure you know your account credentials before proceeding.

---

### 💡 If the issue persists after the steps above

If the ads still fail to load even after completing the steps, it is likely due to **policy-based filtering** by the ad partner network.

* **Reason:** The ad network's system may have flagged your device for **"Invalid Activity (Invalid clicks or traffic)."** This is an automated security measure triggered when the system detects patterns such as excessive ad viewing in a short period, suspected macro usage, or duplicate device recognition.
* **Solution:** Unfortunately, since these restrictions are automatically managed by the ad network's security algorithms, **we cannot manually lift the restriction.**
* **Recommendation:** Usually, these restrictions are automatically lifted after a cooling-off period of **24 hours up to 7 days.** We recommend waiting and trying again after some time has passed.

---

We will continue to do our best to provide you with a seamless service experience.
Thank you.
