@WhistleblowingT It's soul destroying isn't it? Keep going though. I visited loads of schools, applied for over 20 jobs and had five unsuccessful observations or interviews before I got a job.

Also, do you have geographical flexibility? Apparently it's far easier to get a job in the South East.

As I said in an earlier tweet, I was offered my first teaching job last week. For my lesson observation, I tried a @HYWEL_ROBERTS "Let's say...." story based approach and they loved it (both the kids and the observing adults)!!

@MartinSLewis If we all have smart meters they will force variable pricing on us. They will still it as an opportunity to get cheaper energy at off peak times. In reality 'cheap' will be the current prices and peak time prices will be higher then current i.e. a backdoor piece hike.

@bennewmark Agree with uniform for lots of reasons but it needs to be relaxed and affordable. Need to get past this notion that wearing a suit and tie = some sort of moral and intellectual superiority.

And don't get me started on primary school children wearing ties. Why?!

Longlisted for observation but not shortlisted for interview. Again. Confidence knocked again and starting to feel left behind. Term rapidly running away, supply teaching beckons - a really beneficial experience, say people with permanent jobs.
