Sessions started on Friday with an overview by Russell Martins. Followed by an introduction to SPSS by Muskaan Doulat on Saturday. Ended with a thorough discussion on advanced statistics by our Research Head.

Hira Khan, a 3rd year MBBS student at the Aga Khan University, Karachi, will be serving as the Head of the Advocacy department. Hira is determined to expand PGSSA’s sphere of influence within and beyond national borders and help the organisation grow to its full potential.

Russell Seth Martins is a Year IV MBBS Student at the Aga Khan University, Karachi. As the Head of Research Department at PGSSA, Russell is committed to build a strong research capacity at the level of undergraduate students and explore different global surgery research themes.

Syeda Amrah Hashmi, a 4th year student at the Aga Khan University, Karachi, is designated as the Head of Education for the year 2020-2021. Amraha aspires to contribute to PGSSA along with her team for its full establishment, and organise events for a greater awareness of surgery

Areeba Sheikh, a 5th Year medical student at Ziauddin University,Karachi. She aims to pursue plastic surgery.
As the Joint Secretary of PGSSA,Areeba hopes to create a more accessible platform for students, by focusing on education, research and health equity.

As the Vice President, Sonia aims to help PGSSA transform into one of the primary platforms that students can look to, when trying to overcome the gap between practitioners and themselves in fields that they want to pursue.

Noor El Emah Hasan, a 3rd year medical student at Dow Medical College, Karachi, is an aspiring surgeon and passionate public speaker.
As the Vice President of PGSSA, Noor aims to bring internationally standardized surgical care in Pakistan through her contributions at PGSSA.

Aimen Tameezuddin is a 3rd Year MBBS student at Ziauddin University, Karachi, and the President of PGSSA for the year 2020-21. With the joint efforts of her team, she aims to create a platform for students interested in surgery and to enlighten them on surgical profession.
