Man City call Enzo Fernández their "dream" Rodri replacement.
Chelsea fans call it Tuesday.
He's not walking through that door. Xabi didn't rebuild this midfield to hand City the final piece.
🚨 Understand Napoli have contacted Chelsea earlier today with the intention of negotiating a final deal for Benoit Badiashile, the 24-year-old French defender who has struggled for minutes currently.

✍️ I believe that Chelsea knew that Santos was ahead of Essugo in development. It's not a case of selling the wrong player, as a lot of people are insinuating.
I think it's a case of the one who badly wants to leave and play. Santos started a lot of games last season, but if he felt that wasn't enough, then you can imagine what his demands look like.
I believe he would be at Chelsea today if he were willing to stay and remain a first-choice backup, but he had different expectations, which we had to respect.
It is what it is. I don't blame him or Chelsea. He's not going to displace Enzo or Caicedo.
With Henderson and Enzo staying, we have four players (if we exclude Essugo) for a two-man pivot: Enzo, Caicedo, Lavia, and Henderson. If there's an emergency in that position, Reece James will play there.
So, without midweek European engagement, that's more than enough, and I feel it's one of the reasons why Santos pushed to leave.
