@RayMoffo @Flyersfan28485 The way I see it is you trade Cates now and Tippett eventually. You’ll probably get a total return of a 1st, maybe two 2nd, and more.

Dorofeyev: 2-1st + 3rd
Tippett: at least 1st + 2nd

Bourque (+Lyubushkin): 2nd + 3rd
Cates: at least 2nd

Besides some questionable comments the HC made on his Y2 performance, what reason does MM have to not want to stay in PHI? Was MM getting 1st/2nd Line TOI at SKA/HKSochi?

@Flyersfan28485 @RayMoffo TK has a NMC until 30-31. Keep Tippett for a year longer for better forward depth. Dvo and TK on a “3rd Line” with Barkey (basically our 1st Line 25-26). Trading Ristolainen ($5.1M) or Cates ($4M) makes the most sense to me. I still prefer to trade Cates, and let Risto walk in FA

@RayMoffo The only two wingers that really can be moved are Tippett ($6.2M) and Foerster ($3.75M).

I think keeping Tippett and seeing the trade market in the 2027 Offseason has much more trade value. Hopefully healthy, and the cap increases from $104M (6%) to $113.5M (5.5%)

@SideOfMacon @vojta_macha It’s really not cap suicide. The Flyers can extend Michkov and Martone in the future and be cap compliant through atleast Offseason 2029.
