After scrapping of the Health Disparities White Paper, the Office for Health Improvement & Disparities is “effectively dismantled”, removing any departmental focus on health inequalities.
A hugely depressing move highlighting the erosion of PH nationally since PHE was dissolved.
My PhD thesis on food banks and household dietary practices is now available online! https://t.co/F4FiUNZWTp

I’m a professor of theatre and performance. I have been teaching ‘rip-off’ degrees all my adult life. Let me summarise the pointless skills and experiences my students have accumulated: 🧵
New! Postdoctoral research fellow post in SALIENT at University of Hertfordshire leading on public engagement across our food system trials - full time until March 2025. Closing date 1st August 2023.

Playing around with ONS' data on prices and this is something I hadn't realised before.
The variation in the price of a pint across England has increased *massively* in the last decade or so.
📢New paper in @TheLancetPlanet lead by @samanthahajna. Using data on 4.6M London adults we find associations between neighbourhood greenspace🌳and mortality🪦vary by park size, with small parks more beneficial. Overall effects, however, are small 👇👇

This 🤯 is a very big 🤯
I have access to the new GPT Code Interpreter. I uploaded an XLS file, no context:
"Can you do visualizations & descriptive analyses to help me understand the data?
"Can you try regressions and look for patterns?"
"Can you run regression diagnostics?"
Interesting example of alignment of corporate goals (cost reduction) and climate goals (reducing energy use) by the food industry - but how will reformulation affect how healthy the product is? How should we think about trade-offs? https://t.co/MJHy3bRNqE
