Jasmine Wallace, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Georgia Southern University, will join our Philosophy Department in fall 2024 as Assistant Professor of Philosophy. Professor Wallace received her doctoral degree in philosophy at the University of Memphis in 2021. (1/2)

Patricia Hill Collins—one of the most important Black Feminist thinkers and philosophers in recent history—will visit University Park on Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1 to lead a symposium on “intersectionality as epistemic resistance.”

Her individual talk on March 31, hosted at 3:30 p.m. in 010 Sparks Building, will focus on intersectionality as critical praxis.
The symposium, “Intersectionality as Epistemic Resistance: The Critical Theory of Patricia Hill Collins,” will begin the following morning, at 9:00.
