It seems like the Tiktok account of the Revolutionary Communists of America @communistsus has been censored for espousing communist ideas openly: https://t.co/TVlQkqNMxD
@RedFrontTweeter @Hoxhaist_TDM We’re proud of Trotsky & his ideas & proud of being communists.
We hate seeing revolutions & revolutionaries drowned in blood, when they could have been in power, because their leaders aren’t Marxists & don’t understand how revolutions work or see them as desirable.
Ciao.
@RedFrontTweeter @Hoxhaist_TDM Another example: Stalin sent arms to Spain on the condition that the workers militias be disbanded and subordinated to the bourgeois Republican army.
He had no faith (or interest) in the workers’ & peasants’ ability to take power in Spain, eventhough they held it in their hands.
@RedFrontTweeter @Hoxhaist_TDM Stalin invited Chiang Kai-Shek onto the leading body of the Communist International.
But this is where socialism in one country leads: open class collaboration, and clumsy justifications for it. In other words, pure Menshevism.
@RedFrontTweeter @Hoxhaist_TDM In Germany he said the workers should be curbed, not spurred on.
In Spain, he crushed the workers’ revolution in favor of the bourgeois republic in order to curry favor with France & Britain.
In China, he told the Communists to be subordinate to the KMT, which slaughtered them.
@RedFrontTweeter @Hoxhaist_TDM Because socialism in one country sees no need to expand the revolution and acts to keep it contained to one country, which is precisely what happened.
@RedFrontTweeter @Hoxhaist_TDM This has nothing to do with socialism in one country, which was invented by Stalin months after Lenin’s death. These views are perfectly compatible with Permanent Revolution, & Trotsky wrote similar lines in a variety of places.
@RedFrontTweeter @Hoxhaist_TDM This is what enabled Lenin & Trotsky to come together on the basis of a common understanding of the revolution’s tasks.
During the revolution, Lenin described Trotsky’s theory as “much celebrated” and Trotsky’s books were produced en masse by the state publisher.
@RedFrontTweeter @Hoxhaist_TDM Lenin came to understand that the working class could take power in Russia, but could only hold it on condition that the revolution spread.
This is the exact conclusion as the theory of Permanent Revolution.
