Concerned Callowhill residents in Philadelphia trying to make our streets, bike lanes, and sidewalks cleaner and safer for pedestrians, bikers, and drivers.
Living near GoPuff’s Callowhill site? It’s like a super Wawa, plus a 24/7 beer distributor with no parking, neighbors say. How is this zoned? @PhillyOTIS @CMMarkSquilla @PhillyPolice @PPD06Dist @PhilaParking https://t.co/GxnCdNet4R
In every neighborhood where GoPuff operates, there will be neighbors seeking relief! They treat the neighborhoods where they’re located like trash and leave plenty of it :(
GoPuff doesn’t care about the neighbors they negatively affect. They only care about their business. Trash, noise, congestion, illegal parking, dangerous driving come with a GoPuff facility. No residential neighborhood should have a GoPuff distribution center in it or near it!
In South Philly, neighbors say they are having trouble coping with Gopuff's business.
“Gopuff’s high-efficiency model has led them to treat our neighborhood as their playground,” disregarding “safety, sanitation, and quality of life." https://t.co/Egp8IbD6Nc
Gopuff is a bad neighbor, say some South Philly residents. Plus: Quinta Brunson on SNL. And soft pretzels go to the Oscars. https://t.co/YVplcQcVgy via @phillymag@quintabrunson#philly#southphilly#gopuff
It’s an ongoing problem because @gopuff is a terrible company that doesn’t care about the neighborhoods they operate out of or the negative impact they have on their neighbors…
You cannot solve a problem you refuse to acknowledge. Violent criminals are not the victims. Victims of violent criminals are the victims. So is everyone else. All criminal, public safety & quality of life laws must be enforced so that the public protected.
The policy of ignoring, tolerating and even excusing crime is a predictable failure, as it has been in the past. Yes to reform. Yes to better policing. But good policing & effective prosecution is critical to stopping the escalating violence & fear in this city.
@PhilaStreets @philly311@BeautifulPHL@CleanPHL Also, we did this every week for a couples months thru the @philly311 app and no action was ever taken and the cases were never updated. There’s no accountability.
Trash day in Philadelphia would better be described as Litter Day! It’s an excuse for residents to throw anything they want on the street with no accountability. It’s sad & disgusting ☹️ @PhilaStreets @philly311 Why do we have to live like this? @BeautifulPHL@CleanPHL
@PhilaStreets @philly311@BeautifulPHL@CleanPHL Hi @philly311 the location is 446 N 12th St. The landlord is the owner of Callowhill Archery and this happens every week. The business also puts out their trash on Sat for Mon pickup every week. Enforcement requested!
@StreetsDept A man lit up a joint on the BSL last night right across from us forcing us out of the car due to the smoke and his coughing. It’s getting worse and worse.
The Rail Park used to be a wonderful place to visit, but has devolved into piles of trash left by @PhilaParkandRec for days, a rat problem, litter, drug paraphernalia, homeless addicts, and human feces. It’s sad to see it follow along in Philadelphia’s downward trend.
There are at least 10 trash cans in the 3 block stretch of @TheRailPark and this is how people act and treat the park 🤦♂️ What is wrong with people?!?
@KristenJohanson @philadao@KYWNewsradio His "poor choice of words" were the ones that told everyone what he actually thinks! @DA_LarryKrasner cares more for the violent criminals than the residents and victims in this city, which is why we have the "crisis of crime" that we currently do and record homicides!
Hey @philly311 How do we get property owners, businesses & residents held accountable for improperly contained trash? This is what it looks like after @PhilaStreets collection at 446-448 N 12th St. #callowhillarchery is the business owner and landlord. @BeautifulPHL@CleanPHL
Update: @PhilaStreets drove by for the second week in a row and left the illegally dumped mattress on the sidewalk. Case still open #14609692. Pathetic.
Thank you to @PhilaStreets for driving by during trash collection and leaving this mattress and box spring to rot on the street until spring and @philly311 for ignoring our reporting of this issue at the corner of 12th and Noble Street.
Hey @PhillyCLIP Can you help us get this illegally dumped mattress and box spring removed from the sidewalk on the 400 block of N 12th St since @PhilaStreets and @philly311 are ignoring our request?
CARJACKINGS IN PHILLY: @PhillyPolice Major Crimes investigators tell me last night *alone*—there were EIGHT carjackings. Total # this year is 660, an at least 80% increase from 2020 total. MAJORITY of offenders are juveniles & repeat offenders, police say @FOX29philly
