The 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance was created by 9/11 families to commemorate how people responded to the tragedy with kindness, love, and service to others. On this day we are challenged to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

As we approach the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, students from PSL collaborated with American Legion Post #697 to remove tattered flags from the graves of more than 1,000 veterans who are buried at Perry Cemetery.

Our PSL students kicked off their 9/11 Day of Service Activities by conducting a beach cleanup, deploying recycling bins across campus, and harvesting 121 lbs. of vegetables from the Giving Garden for the Perry Center. Thanks to the students and adult volunteers who pitched in.

Thanks to the Partners in Science Excellence Greenhouse Initiative Grant and their partner, Jeff Kenyon of Arcadia Glasshouse, a greenhouse has been installed in our MS courtyard where students will study life cycles, pollination, solar energy, & more!
