Earlier this week, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Molly Phee engaged with young Namibians at the BeFree Youth Campus in Katutura.

The visit also featured a discussion with graduates from the DREAMS program.

PHN recently hosted 70 young people for a youth consultation event in Windhoek as part of the new 'Reach' project.

The consultation was held under the theme: Youth REACH-ING sustainable #HIV Epidemic Control in a Modern Era.

This week PHN hosted Maria Price Detherage, @USAID's Deputy Assistant Administrator, and Tamara Cox, Equity Advisor at the Global AIDS Coordinator's Office. They engaged with DREAMS #AGYW, who shared their experiences in the project as well as their hopes for the future.

In Katima Mulilo, four young women who are part of the DREAMS program completed a six-month training in joinery and cabinet making at the ZVTC. After the training, the women were selected for an internship at a woodwork workshop. @PEPFAR @USAID

After a rigorous 6 months of screening, tests, workshops, and boot camps, our ‘UPSHIFTers’ are ready to pitch their innovative ideas in the first round of the program!

UPSHIFT equips youth to understand community challenges and design impactful products and services. @UNICEF
