@PokeHEX5555 To be fair booster boxes aren’t available in retailers, probably 50/50 on card shops that are getting the allocations of booster boxes actually having reasonable pricing and there’s a bit of distrust (understandably) in buying loose packs.
@Veno_41 I agree. More cards than ever being printed. And every single person that pulls a chase is immediately sleeving and top loading.
The reason older cards are valuable is because there were so few printed and even fewer that were kept in good condition.
@ThirdCrossMusic@farmingandJesus@yasemindyor I’m not sure but at that point it is possible the baby was swapped at the hospital. Pretty famous Reddit post about that happening with a husband and wife finding out their kid wasn’t related to either of them
@Philth57@peanuthead1467@mnchies The buyers are people who feel like they have no other choice because of the actions of people who buy more than they actually want and take away the opportunity to get at msrp just to sell it at a markup.
It’s not hard to do it’s just a lack of principles.
Target Online is worse than Walmart online because of middle of the night drops. But neither does anything about bots.
In store Target is better. Walmart in store limit is too high. Best Buy is great in store and kind of fair online.
@gamestop can fuck themselves with their own severed limbs.
@Tyler_jedlicka@PokeTCGiveaways Custom cards are fine. Not when they’re deliberately designed to look like a Pokemon card for the exact reason shown in the video
Yes with current supply constraints buying out a store to rip is just objectively greedy and the end result is no better than scalping.
Theres a fine line between “sealed collector” and “investor”. Somebody might have a display shelf for 1 of each ETB or upc or products from their favorite set, etc. Cool.
But if you’re buying everything you can find to stuff in a plastic tote for 5 years that’s not sealed collecting.
I think it’s very easy to determine who is being greedy and inconsiderate of others. But traditional scalping is by far the largest issue for local supply.
