I have finally caught up and watched the recording of James Byrne's (@DekaChambers) March seminar on Fatal Accident Claims for @PIBarAssoc. It's incredibly useful with lots of examples from case law to demonstrate how these claims work in practice.
A great weekend at Keble on the @PIBarAssoc annual conference. Still can’t believe I didn’t make the 5 minute walk here from @wadhamoxford all those years ago. As ever some fantastic speakers and a great opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues.
Thoroughly enjoyed the @PIBarAssoc annual conference this weekend. Such a wonderful setting @KebleOxford
Thank you for all your hard work as Chair @BagotBriefs !
We’ve heard a lot about duty of care this weekend #PIBACon24 and Andrew Warnock KC is now telling us more about what cases are coming up in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal this year …
Even more favoured than our medical speakers are our judicial speakers. This year’s “view from the bench” is HHJ Melissa Clarke - DCJ for Oxford and Thames Valley #PIBACon24
@HuntCarin@PIBarAssoc Thanks so much Carin and completely agree about Emily, who will be a fab and inspiring @PIBarAssoc Chair as it heads towards its 30th anniversary. Carin you’ve been so energetic on multiple projects for the Junior Cttee of PIBA and the Exec Committee. Don’t know how you fit it in
Next up, the #PIBACon24 audience hears from David Tyack KC about the conclusion of the long running secondary victim litigation in Paul, Polmear and Purchase.
I will very much miss working with the lovely @BagotBriefs on the @PIBarAssoc exec committee, but I am delighted to welcome Emily Formby KC as PIBA's first female chair.
A huge thank you to Charlie for everything he's done during his tenure 👏
