Cambodia needs peace, not war. What did we get from these actions? Our country suffers when citizens are hurt, forced to leave their homes, and children lose the chance for an education and their happy childhoods. Itโs breaking my ๐๐ญ

๐จ๐น๐ญ๐ฐ๐ญ BREAKING: THAILAND JUST LITERALLY CROSSED THE LINE - BORDER CLASHES TURN INTO A LAND GRAB
After 2 days of firefights along the ThaiโCambodian frontier, Thailand pushed troops across the border and seized the disputed Pairachan (Prey Chan) village in Banteay Meanchey - the most serious military escalation between the two since the Preah Vihear clashes a decade ago.
Bangkokโs line: โSelf-defense.โ
Thai officials say Cambodian forces fired first, forcing a โlimited tactical response.โ
Phnom Penhโs line: โInvasion.โ
Cambodia calls the move a naked land grab, warning that Thai troops entering a village - not just exchanging fire - crosses every red line agreed upon since the 1990s peace accords.
And because this is a border thatโs always been a geopolitical fault line, not just a cartographic mistake, hereโs what actually matters:Why this is explosive
Pairachan sits inside one of the murkiest patches of the ThaiโCambodian demarcation, a place where colonial-era maps, local loyalties, and military patrol routes have never aligned.
Any occupation - even โtemporaryโ - becomes precedent. Precedent becomes politics.
Both militaries have nationalist factions that want a tougher posture.
ASEANโs conflict-management tools are basically a group chat with no admin.
Leaders in both capitals know nationalist crises are accelerants - or escape hatches.
Watch who stands to gain from stoking this.
Unless one side suffers a sudden battlefield embarrassment, this doesnโt spiral into open war.
But it will turn into a multi-week standoff, with soldiers dug in, flags planted, and both governments daring the other to blink first.
And Pairachan - a village most people couldnโt find on a map yesterday - is now the most dangerous square kilometer in Southeast Asia.

Stop this now, Thailand. Our boys and girls need peace, protection, and education. They deserve to live their childhoods, not suffer trauma. Why are you turning their young lives into painful memories?

Thailand has seriously violated the ceasefire agreement by deploying F-16 fighter aircraft to conduct unauthorized airstrikes inside Cambodiaโs sovereign territory. According to initial reports, the aircraft dropped multiple bombs in the affected border area, causing significant damage and leaving numerous Cambodian civilians injured. This deliberate breach of peace has created fear and disruption among local communities, forcing families to flee their homes and undermining the sense of security that citizens rightfully deserve.

Two more civilians were killed while traveling on National Road 56 in Thmor Pouk district after Thai shelling struck the area, National Defence spokeswoman Maly Socheata said in a press conference on December 9.

Ordinary, innocent people who only want a bit of peace and stability have been injured by Thai shelling, and civilians on both sides of this border are being caught in the crossfire.
According to preliminary data from the provincial administrations of Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, and Banteay Meanchey, the Thai military has fired artillery shells deep into civilian areas, causing deaths, injuries, and extensive damage to homes and property.
As of the morning of 9 December 2025, the total number of civilians killed and injured by Thai artillery fire in Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, and Banteay Meanchey provinces is 7 civilians killed and 20 injured. The Thai side has targeted civilians by firing into Prey Chanh village, Chhouk Chheay village, and other populated areas. In some locations, shells were fired up to 28 kilometers into civilian zones.
Thailand continues to attack Cambodia and has repeatedly killed innocent civilians and Cambodian soldiers. They are historical murderers.
We have remained patient and did not retaliate out of respect for the ceasefire agreement, but Thailand has shown no intention of seeking peace. They continue to provoke conflict and make demands for Cambodian territory.
How can Cambodia achieve peace if Thailand does not share the same intentions? It is impossible when Cambodia is the only one respecting the ceasefire.
I sincerely hope that karma will come upon them very soon.
