🌟 Happy Labor Day from Peace Islands Institute! 🌟

Today, we celebrate the hardworking people whose dedication, compassion, and contributions help build stronger communities.

Labor Day is more than a day off. It is a moment to recognize the value of work, service, cooperation, and dignity. Every teacher who inspires, every volunteer who serves, every healthcare worker who cares, every parent who provides, and every neighbor who lends a helping hand plays a part in creating a more peaceful and connected society.

At Peace Islands Institute, we believe that when people come together across cultures and communities, our collective work can make a lasting difference. 🤝🌍

Today, we honor you, the people who work, serve, build, care, and contribute.

Happy Labor Day! May our shared efforts continue to build bridges of peace, understanding, and unity. 🕊️💙

What a wonderful afternoon in Englewood! The Back to School Splash brought together families, children, community organizations, and local leaders for an afternoon filled with fun, food, music, swimming, games, and community spirit.

Peace Islands Institute was proud to be a community partner alongside the City of Englewood Parks and Recreation, DCVYP, Bergen Family Center, and Embrace Relief in helping make this event possible.

The event was centered around an important goal: making sure local students feel supported, prepared, and excited for the new school year. One of the highlights was the backpack giveaway, where Englewood students received backpacks filled with school supplies to help them start the year with confidence.

We were honored to join local leaders, nonprofit organizations, faith communities, and families in celebrating Englewood’s diversity and investing in its youngest residents. Events like this remind us of the power of partnership, service, and community connection.

A special thank you to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and energy to make the Back to School Splash such a success. We are grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support its children and families. Peace Islands Institute is proud to continue building bridges and strengthening communities through collaboration and service. 🤝🎒

Thank you, AG Jennifer Davenport and @NewJerseyOAG team, for welcoming our delegation and for an open, thoughtful conversation. Building bridges begins with listening. Through dialogue and partnership, we can strengthen trust, promote peace, and serve every New Jerseyan.

✨ Celebrating Creativity & Connection ✨

On June 11, we proudly hosted the 16th Annual Art & Essay Contest Award Ceremony at Montclair State University, honoring talented students from schools across New Jersey.

This year’s theme, “Building Bridges: The Power of Connection,” inspired young artists and writers to explore empathy, inclusion, and the impact of meaningful relationships in our communities.

We are proud to recognize the 32 winners selected from schools throughout New Jersey for their outstanding creativity, insight, and expression. Their artwork and essays beautifully reflected the spirit of building stronger, more connected communities.

Congratulations to all award recipients, honorable mention students, and participants who shared their creativity and vision. Thank you to the families, educators, sponsors, volunteers, and community members who helped make this event a memorable success.

Here are some highlights from the evening and a celebration of our talented winners. 📸🎨📝

Together, we continue building bridges through art, writing, and understanding. 💙
