I was a little unsure about Kick's new "View Count" toggle, but I get it now.
I think they launched the feature without setting up the bases for a grand slam.
Here is my 2 cents that no one asked for. @StakeEddie@Svntvmvriv@BijanTehrani
@TikiNedX You want it, but you don't realize it.
You want more money as a Streamer? Great! By having a highly engaged community, you'll get better Ad Rev and Sponsorship opportunities.
Views won't matter anymore because Chat Engagement will be more valuable.
I think these 3 items would've loaded up the bases for them to hit a home run when they launched the View Count Toggle.
The story is there, the worry would've been calmed, and streamers would've been able to give input and poke holes into things to make this a great launch.
3) Kick Ambassadors. I still think Kick's greatest asset is it's Streamers. Have a rotating panel of streamers every 6-12 months that provide feedback and poke holes into things. Make them sign NDA's.
I think this would've helped the messaging and rollout a lot.
@BigRob For some, their Missions (which basically suck). For most others, the trolling with prox chat.
DMZ was the first “main stream” extraction prox chat game that anyone could play. Tarkov was too complicated for many and not on console. Arc took the best of both worlds.
@bbjess imo, they’ve moved away from what made them great. They stopped listening AND being transparent.
This along with many other reasons is why I’ve basically left the platform.
@SoonerCreative_ It’s a great first step imo. But also really depends on what you’re trying to automate.
Don’t sleep on actual automation platforms like N8N, Make or even things like Notion and AirTable.
When they work together though, it can be really powerful.
@mrboost92@StreamElements Agreed. People seem to be moving to another platform that will run into the same issues SE did.
If there were good local options, that’s where I’d put my money.
Hot Take. StreamElements started to decline after they brought in their new "Elements" update.
Otherwise, I've loved using StreamElements with multiple streamers. Really pushed creativity with custom apps and empowered mods to help streamers.
