Ukraine has about 18 major bridges crossing the Dnper River that connect western and eastern Ukraine.

These bridges are critical for transporting supplies, including ammunition, fuel, food, and medical resources, from western Ukraine to the eastern front.

Without them, Ukraine faces not only an economic collapse but also a military collapse, as supplying its troops at the front would become nearly impossible.

If Russia hits these bridges, Western aid to Ukraine, no matter its scale, will be worthless.

Russia’s got what it needs to provide humanitarian aid to civilians on the eastern side of the river, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Let’s hope Putin ends this soon.
