New research from @lia_bri et al. in @womenandbirth
An entirely qualitative paper, it is a very elegant read, offering clarity on experiences of the complex intervention: Midwifery Continuity of Care.
Would highly recommend reading: @lifecourse_KCL@ARC_S_L@PIVOTAL_Collab

Last week I attended the Post Pandemic Recovery of Maternal & Child Health service - thanks to @Silverio_SA_ for the invite. It's great to be involved in research at all stages (not just for engagement). For the community & with the community https://t.co/L5ku1643e1
Kayley Ciesla, Programme Co-ordinator & Senior Research Fellow for the #BornAndBredIn programme presented at yesterday's @PIVOTAL_Collab maternal & child health service conference at the @RoySocMed. Learn more about this multi-site study and network here: https://t.co/gQUAmGaIZZ
Thank you @ResearchDoula for an incredible "research speed dating" event disseminating the powerful work of @PIVOTAL_Collab@Silverio_SA_ Hoping for improvements in care positively impacting families & future generations. Bonus: time with the always inspiring @MaryNewburn1
Thanks to @khazaezadeh for chairing the presentations throughout the day as well. Really interesting insight into the breadth of research within the @PIVOTAL_Collab. Thanks again to Soo Downe for bringing us together and to @Silverio_SA_ and @ResearchDoula for organising the day
An excellent day and well chaired @khazaezadeh. Brilliant to hear about the amazing research done throughout covid by @PIVOTAL_Collab and discussions particularly thoughtful about inequalities and ways forward
Honoured to be invited to illustrate this event organised by @PIVOTAL_Collab and the @RoySocMed (Royal Society of Medicine) to disseminate maternity & children’s health research carried out during the pandemic and future of UK healthcare systems in a post-pandemic world

🙏 @PIVOTAL_Collab an inspiring day, excellent panel discussions led by @SandallJane a few take-home messages include a continued focus on equity, personalisation of care, accessibility of maternity services & recognising importance of human relationships @Silverio_SA_@lia_bri
@lucy_frith posed an interesting question - how do we balance the public health ethics against clinical ethics?
I like this quote:
'Transparency is the public health equivalent to informed consent'
@PIVOTAL_Collab members research perinatal and family issues from a variety of perspectives. @ECRomanis presentation about the legalities of homebirths (and restrictions) during the pandemic gives an interesting perspective after @lucy_frith's question.
After hearing about individual research projects, and the behind the scenes look at how @MidwivesRCM and @RCObsGyn managed information, the rest of today is looking at the joint findings, lessons, and learning from across @PIVOTAL_Collab projects.
Thanks to @cabr88 and @lucy_frith for representing the team at the @PIVOTAL_Collab policy makers session. Looking forward to some exciting (and impactful) conversations ahead!
Such an interesting event. Was v pleased to present the @PIVOTAL_Collab synthesis of recommendations - thanks to @Silverio_SA_, @ResearchDoula and Soo Downe for the invitation. Great to put the @resetethics1 findings into that broader context
