City bidding £120mil for a player Newcastle had to sell to comply with FFP while still having not had a single punishment for 115 charges. On the day Everton are punished yet again for one overpayment that only occurred because of the War in Ukraine. Football has become a farce
It’s the 2nd day of the World Cup. If you add a 0 behind the number 2, you’ll get 20 and that’s exactly the number of days since Arsenal won the league title.
🗣️| Thierry Henry on Arsenal’s title celebrations: “All I know is, we do have a lot of Arsenal fans all across the world, and when you win with Arsenal, it hits differently. It is a special club, it is a people’s club at the end of the day, and you saw it. The streets did answer.
“And let’s be honest, it was just one title, which we’ve been waiting for 22 years. But when you saw the love and affection, and how people celebrated around London and around the world, you realise the impact of Arsenal Football Club.
“That was beautiful, we were waiting for it, and don’t underestimate the impact that Arsenal has in the community. It’s a special club and always will be.” [@betway] #afc
If 1% of premier league revenue was shared with the rest of the football pyramid, the 240 clubs that make up the Championship, right down to level 7 could each receive half a million quid every single year. The benefit that could bring to football as a whole would be incredible.

🚨🗣️ | Pep Guardiola Shocked on Arsenal fans Reaction towards Gabriel Magalhaes after missing the Penalty: 🤯
“I have to say something because I saw this and, honestly, it blew my mind. It blew my mind. We know how this business works. Usually, in a Champions League final, a player misses a crucial penalty against a top, top team like PSG, and the next day... it is a disaster for him. The social media, the media, it can be very, very cruel. Very ugly. You expect the anger, the threats, the terrible words. We see it all the time.
But what the Arsenal fans did for Gabriel? Wow. It is something else. Truly. To see a player fail in the most painful moment, and the response from the stadium, from the people, is just... pure love? I am told his shirt sales went up by three hundred and fifty percent in a few days. Three hundred and fifty percent! This is incredible. I have been in football a long, long time, as a player and a manager, and I have never seen anything like it. Never.
You know, you open Facebook, you open Instagram or Twitter, and the narrative is always the same. 'Arsenal fans are insufferable. They are the worst fanbase, they are annoying.' You hear this tag all the time. But I look at this gesture and I think, 'How?' How do they have this tag? If a fanbase can wrap their arms around a player like that, in the darkest moment of the club's history a trophy they have been dying to win for decades then everything we are told online is a lie. It is a massive misconception. They have been judged so harshly.
This shows me who they really are. It shows their class, their humanity, and their loyalty. To behave like this? It is not annoying, it is not insufferable. It is beautiful. They deserve incredible praise for this, because this is what football should be about”
"Trickle down economics doesn't work, so let's try piñata economics. That's the one where we beat the billionaires until the hoarded wealth falls out."
Declan Rice just posted this on Instagram 🗣️
An absolutely incredible couple of weeks celebrating bringing the Premier League back to North London after 22 years.
As I said when I joined this great club, my dream is to win trophies here. This is the first of hopefully many more.
We have a really special group of players and a manager that has absolutely transformed this team. It’s a privilege to be part of it.
Thank you to the fans for all the support not only this season but since I joined. You’ve welcomed me with open arms from Day One.
Now, full focus on the World Cup and I look forward to seeing you all next season. Enjoy the Summer ❤️
