Thanks @PrincipalMN & @educationhall, this was great! #traumasensitive

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

@MrOSpEddie Exactly. Everything we value we model. If we don't, we're inadvertently modeling the opposite #traumasensitive

A3 Realizing those conversations will be hard and understanding that means they need to happen even more #traumasensitive

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

@JLWALT1970 Yes! It's so easy to forget tone matters as much as the words you choose to use #traumasensitive

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

A1 Balance! Whether it's exercise, a hobby, or family time #traumasensitive

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

Students learning how to repair broken cell phones in our WIN @lincolnparkms #engaged #GoDuluthSchools

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

A6 Promote student choice. S's directing their own learning are always going to be more engaged than those along for the ride #duluthedchat

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

A5 I always think about what family values do/don't align with my classroom expectations. They have to align for S's success #duluthedchat

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

A4 Gifted students struggle to feel like they’re contributing while remaining compliant. Boredom leads to behaviors etc. #duluthedchat

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

@CarlaHarrold Agreed! I think teachers feel like they have show that they're in control and this leads to promoting compliance #duluthedchat

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

A3 Planning “non-compliant” lessons can completely change the energy in the room. It's always a scary feeling though #duluthedchat

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

@PrincipalMN Thanks! An excellent photographer took it ;)

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

A2 When students are asked to be compliant 100% of the time, eventually they learn it’s not worth it to take risks #duluthedchat

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

A1 I think that anytime we have issues with behaviors, it’s easy to pass compliance off as “good" and not consider it #duluthedchat

[Paul Manoppo @PJManoppo]

@PrincipalMN Can't wait to be a part of the @PTHVP training tomorrow. What an awesome opportunity! #duluthedchat
