Went to see He-Man today with father-in-law (he's a normie and his son & grandsons loved it)

Finally got a seat for Kirk - I printed the TOS command chair (he has been standing for over 10 years, so he deserves a seat) It's a wee bit big, I will eventually size it properly and colour it. @WilliamShatner

There are two themes at work in Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It was the height of the Red Scare, with a Communist behind every closed door (something we should have taken more seriously), and paranoia of who was or wasn’t who they seemed was very real. Also, the loss of humanity in the modern age. An alien seed pod growing a soulless, emotionless, duplicate of a person and that person becoming part of a larger, expanding threat to humanity didn’t seem that big a stretch in 1956.
