@PAHoyeck@JaroslavH As far as reading Marx goes, there's a history of interpretation that it can be helpful to trace. But ultimately Marxist thought is bound up in practical movements and historical struggles that complicate the picture of what Marx-ism looks like.

@PAHoyeck Going to have to check it out. I'm broadly interested in critical perspectives of Liberalism as a Marxist who is sympathetic with many of the ideals inaugurated thereby.
@gruidae_james My only problem with this trope is when all of the suggestions are, at bottom, concessions to liberalism. The authors taking leftist critique and taking it to motivate liberal "progressive" conclusions. Not that everything needs to be rev Marxism...
