More than ever as believers it is important for us not only to believe the gospel, to stand upon the gospel, but we must live the gospel out- remember, "Bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
I love John Newton’s one rule for the Christian:
Since the Savior I have known
My rules are all reduc'd to one,
To keep my Lord, by faith, in view;
This strength supplies, and motives too.
@jaredcwilson Thank you! Very kind and encouraging. Our church is grieving alongside so many others. We agree and say, “Come Lord Jesus and please make it soon.”
“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.”
Psalms 27:4 ESV
As it happens, Jarrid and I share a couple of things in common besides our name. One is a dark reality. The other is a greater Truth. https://t.co/gx3sWizQbu
the bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.
Blind unbelief is sure to err,
And scan his work in vain:
God is his own interpreter,
And he will make it plain-William Cowper. “God moves in mysterious ways.”
God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.
Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never failing skill,
He treasures up his bright designs
And works his sovereign will.
Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take,
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.
Judge not the lord by feeble sense,
But trust him for his grace;
behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.
His purpose will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
It is with the deepest sadness and shock that I have to report that @JarridWilson went to be with the Lord last night.
At a time like this, there are just no words.
The Bible says, “There is a time to mourn.” This is certainly that time. Read more at

Have you asked Christ to come into your life? If so, have you been baptized yet? I can tell you, that next to accepting Christ into your life, being baptized is one of the greatest days of your life! Join us tomorrow at Pirate’s Cove in Corona Del Mar at 10:00 for a baptism.
It needs to prayerfully reconsider everything it believes and practices. Nothing is gained by merely repackaging the church in forms more attractive to outsiders. @rayortlund from The Gospel
I need this reminder everyday! If a church’s gospel culture has been lost, or was never built, the only remedy is found at the feet of Christ. That church needs a fresh rediscovery of his gospel in all its beauty.
