Dear Christian

Let me help you make some resolutions ..

Firstly ,you will practice forgiveness ,Learn to let go and let off hurts,you will practice bible forgiveness not some bible verses woven around psychology and philosophy ,no telling others what was done to you ,etc

Secondly ,you will ensure NO ONE including your spouse ,pastor and friends uses your mind as dump sites for gists about others ,you won't use your Facebook messenger to gist about whose post is against another ,determine to never engage yourself in conversations meant to defame or demean others ,Sanctify your Bbm ,whatsapp ,Twitter to glorify Christ .

Lastly ,determine to have a life outside social media ,spend more time studying and praying and preaching than on social media ..,have a genuine life off this space

Transfer season in the body of Christ 😊

Every football club seeks to improve its lot by engaging ,buying and selling during what’s called “transfer season or market “

Here ,either through agents or scouts or its coaches or directly via its directors ,they seek to strengthen their squad by buying available players raised and trained elsewhere.

Maybe a striker or midfielder or defender or goal keeper .

You woo such players with offers .

Money ,Money ,comfort etc .

Yet most players and their skills are honed at a football academy who get the players young and train them raw.
Almost all clubs have such .

The unnoticed, uncelebrated academy.

The patience to train has been overtaken by the allure to quickly get results .
So they usually abandon such academy products for ready made players .

Now , some actually run churches this way .

They look to poach well trained men from other churches .

They find the .

Impressionable or

The gullible or

The Greedy .

Or dissatisfied .

Or disgruntled ,

“Unfulfilled “.

Woo and toast them with

“A better option or alternative “

Unlike football,this transfer Market is all year long .

And can be heightened when their seems to be an issue in public discourse.

The scouts ( pastors) now use social media methods of “influencers “, by creating contents to

“Defend the faith or free believers from bondage or seek to make them think “

Same of same .😊

You are a scout !

Jesus sent us to RAISE and NOT recruit disciples

Training disciples isn’t poaching people inbox or through articles aggressively to market your “insight “ claiming to love the body of Christ yet to “de market” other churches.

If you truly seek such love ,

We would find you on the evangelism fields

Laborers are few .

Raise them !

Using worldly Methods is ungodly and might just grant artificial relief .

Focus on

Evangelism and discipleship

Not trying to “retrain the already trained “

Except if it’s like Paul warned in Galatia

Galatians 4:17-Those other people show a deep interest in you, but their intentions are not good. All they want is to separate you from me, so that you will have the same interest in them as they have in you.

These abound on social media.

Dear believer,You will do well to avoid such scouts.

No matter the guise they appear with.

Be discipled and avoid recruitment

That excited stage ..? It’s time to grow up ..

Dont we all have that expression after listening to bible teaching ..
After listening to a series, or during a church meeting etc ..
The disciples once had this too ..

[32] And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

“Never saw it so till now .”.
Good feeling
However spiritual growth isn’t built on ah ha moments ,ecstatic bliss of being awed at a gift ,teaching or brilliance etc ..
To grow needs more than such moment..

[13] They on the rock are they , which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

Take note of the term “ for a while “..
For those built on such excitement, they would need to keep fueling their enamor for the reeling feeling of satisfaction ,but that is IMPOSSIBLE...

It could easily birth what paul termed itchy ears ...

2 Timothy 4:3-A time will come when people will not listen to accurate teachings. Instead, they will follow their own desires and surround themselves with teachers who tell them what they want to hear.( GWT)

Be fully absorbed.
Not waiting for another Ah Ha moment ,thus losing the virility of true bible study and consequent Spiritual growth ...

This Births consistency and prevents you from jumping to every “ new stuff and preacher “

Ephesians 4:14-Then we will no longer be little children, tossed and carried about by all kinds of teachings that change like the wind. We will no longer be influenced by people who use cunning and clever strategies to lead us astray.

Preaching the gospel was never bequeathed to a specific class .

It's the prompting of Gods love in us for a dead or dying sinner .

That love compels our hearts and mouth to share what we know and believe God has done in Christ for the whole world .

We might be engaged in numerous deeds in the Church in service but our words are the viable tool to impart life and herald light .

We can write it or verbalizes it so long as its in words faith is borne

Since heaven rejoices over one who hears and believes than 99 who have since believed,we need not ask for the Fathers express desire .

Paul says that all may be saved,Peter reiterates ,..that none perish.

Jesus said Go!

Your obedience saves lives ,gladdens His heart and proves your love...

Music ministry is holy and sacred.

Yes! You help God’s people confess their reality and consecration in songs, but ultimately, it is an expression of worship to God.

It’s possible to allow the flesh drive us into performance if one isn’t careful and so we must stay conscious of the gravity of this holy vocation. It is unto God that we sing, not unto men 🙏

Never copy or compare yourself to musicians who are without. Your calling is far more sacred. They can “move the crowd” but your ultimate calling is to move hearts towards God and His finished work and so both the why and the how are extremely important.

Why do we sing? It is worship; our response and declaration of God’s goodness shown us in salvation

How must we do this? In a way that pleases the lord and shows honor to Him.

In the end, let the lord by His word and Spirit purify our motives so that our worship can rise as a sweet smelling perfume, void of flesh and full of faith, love and knowledge.

Christmas-We enter a season filled with a whole lot of ceremonies,history and symbols.

As believers in Christ our approach ought to be informed from Gods Word.

We have the symbolisms of christmas-the christmas tree,santa claus,hampers,holidays etc.

Also the drama of christmas-the manger story,the wise men(either 3 or numerous),the sherperds,mary and joseph etc.

However,the scriptures major on the MESSAGE of Christmas-CHRIST JESUS(John5:39-40,Luke24:25-27)!

This message is the incarnate ONE,spoken by God 4000 yrs just after mans disobedience and choice to walk in death rather than Life,darkness rather than Light(Gen1:3,3:15).

This is the message re-echoed by Prophecy through the 4000 yrs ,figured from Abel'offering ,through Noah's ark,Abrams iseac,Isaecs jacob,jacobs joseph!Prophesied through the Prophets and sung in the Psalmist sacred songs!

Manifested in the flesh at the Fullness of times-This is Gods love in Gods word incarnate in the Flesh(John1:14).God became a man to bring humanity into https://t.co/VYChNqBfWm,the new creation has a basis to look at Christmas and behold himself found in Christ in God(2cor5:16-21).

If its a season of gifts,yes the gift of righteuosness(Rom5:17),eternal life(Rom6:23),the indwelling of the Spirit(John14:16-17).

If its the season of Love,then the death of the sinless Christ for sinful humanity(rom5;8).
If its a season to show love then its a season to preach and teach this message ,as it is the POWER unto salvation(rom1:16).

As a church we should seize the moment coupled with mens sensibilities to preach CHRIST and Him crucified.

Its been a merry Christmas for the Church for 2000 yrs!

Try & look out for words like shun,avoid ,flee in the pastoral epistles e.g.

Sometimes,it's a function of unsettled convictions in trying to argue all issues

Many more times ,attention seeking

Save your energy

The journey is still far and the battle more tedious

Don't burn out because you have energy and time

Don't seek to know EVERYTHING,EVERYONE is saying

It's lack of wisdom
