🚨 @sodex_official Community Deserves Better.
SoDEX has just launched a new 5-month “Layer 1 Season” with:
→ 900K SoPoints every week
→ Squad boosts up to 50%
→ Treasure Boxes worth up to 10K USDC
The rewards look attractive, but the timing is extremely disappointing.
Season 1 started on January 29 and ended on August 1 after ~6 months. One month has already passed, yet there is still no clear claim date, distribution timeline, or proper update on the $SOSO rewards.
Instead, the community is now being asked to participate in another 5-month season.
And if the reports are true that Season 1 and Season 2 rewards will be distributed together after the new season ends, Season 1 participants could be waiting nearly a year for rewards they already earned.
That’s not fair to the early community.
We completed Season 1. We contributed liquidity, trading volume, and supported SoDEX from the beginning.
The team should:
→ Clearly communicate the Season 1 distribution timeline
→ Allow Season 1 rewards to be claimed separately
→ Stop making early supporters wait for another season
→ Be transparent about what $SOSO holders can actually expect
SoDEX had a great opportunity to build one of the strongest communities in DeFi.
But transparency and trust matter just as much as rewards.
Really disappointed with the team right now. We supported SoDEX early, and now it’s time for the team to respect the community that stood by the project from the beginning. Otherwise, we’ll have to reconsider using the platform going forward.

Now let’s talk about the real issue.
This move is extremely disappointing.
Charging 0.075 SOL for “registration” is one of the highest fees I’ve seen in any airdrop, especially on Solana a chain known for low fees and scalability.
This raises serious concerns:
• Airdrops are meant to reward users, not extract money from them
• Pay to claim mechanics break trust with the community
• It creates a barrier where only paying users benefit
• It sets a bad precedent for future projects
The justification given by Solstice Finance “covering network and processing costs” doesn’t hold up.
Let’s be real:
• Solana transactions cost fractions of a cent
• Many large-scale airdrops have happened without such high fees
• “Processing cost” is vague and lacks transparency
This isn’t the first airdrop on Solana. We’ve seen multiple projects distribute rewards fairly without asking users to pay this much just to claim.
Tagging the team because this needs attention:
@ben_solstice@RyanDay
This decision makes the project look greedy and disconnected from its own community.
If the goal is long-term trust and growth, this needs to be reconsidered.
At the very least:
• Provide full transparency on where this fee goes
• Reduce the cost significantly
• Or remove it entirely
Because right now, it doesn’t feel like a reward it feels like a cash grab.
📢 Update on @ofc_the_club Airdrop
1️⃣ BALLS leaderboard isn’t final after bot/sybil filtering, rankings can change (you might still qualify).
2️⃣ All participants get a hidden FanPass multiplier for future rewards.
3️⃣ Threshold system isn’t perfect, but it ensures overall fairness.
4️⃣ This is just the beginning more rewards will come for consistent supporters 🤝
------
There are still a few major concerns that can be improved:
1️⃣ Increase user coverage
The number of users being rewarded is too limited consider expanding it to at least Top 50K to make it more inclusive.
2️⃣ Allow wallet updates
Give users an option to change their wallet. It has been over 2 years, and many users may have lost access or had their wallets compromised during this time. Giving a one-time secure wallet update option would be fair.
3️⃣ Improve vesting structure
I understand the idea of long-term support, but giving only 10% at TGE feels unfair.
A more balanced approach could be:
• 50% at TGE
• 50% vested over time
Also, these terms should have been clearly communicated before starting the Balls Program. Since that didn’t happen, it’s important to adjust things now in a fair way.
Note:
I can only suggest improvements, but the real change is in your hands. If you truly care about the product and the community you’ve built, this is the time to act for them 🤝
