China just purged two of its most powerful generals — Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli — from the Central Military Commission over “serious violations of discipline and law.”

Zhang was CMC vice-chairman (second only to Xi). Liu ran the Joint Staff Department.

The 7-member CMC now has only two active members left, including Xi himself.

Also notable: Zhao Zongqi, who commanded the Western Theatre during the 2020 India-China clashes, was recently dropped from a top advisory body.

Nepali Army found explosives washed onto the Trishuli after the Rasuwa flood. That’s it. The “Chinese explosives triggered the glacier avalanche” part is speculation, not a confirmed finding. Satellite imagery, USGS, and glaciologists still point to an ice-rock collapse that dammed then burst a river. Extraordinary claims need more than a bottle on a riverbank.
