Beginners are often very confident, more confident than experts even.
Like ppl with a basic understanding of thermodynamics (math/physics), who are confident they are experts on weight loss (biology).
If "a calorie is a calorie" is level 1, what's the Guru level?
Now some people will claim we evolved over the time, had genetic modification.
Well that is correct but our digestive system is same. If they were thriving on meat we can.

Not all calories are the same, rather than focusing on how many calories you eat, focus on where your calories are coming from.
Calories coming from eggs and cookies are not same.
A 400-calorie donut and 400 calories of salmon have *wildly* different effects on the body and #satiety and future food intake.
Repeatedly eating a 400-cal donut drives obesity and poor metabolic health, while 400 cal of salmon protects against it.
A calorie is not a calorie.
Think logically,
All we eat is carbs from BF to dinner
I:e dosa, biscuits, idli, wada, Samosa, chat, rice, chapati etc.
We eat Fat in a marginal amount I:e cheese, ghee, butter, egg yolks etc.
Yet we are Fat, Do you really think Fat is making you fat?
