@FuryFromNewry@EvertonNewsFeed@BobbyManzi@MailSport Think I'd be looking at our defensive performances there before what was missing mate.
The fact that Gueye and Hackney are very different players also is another topic on this discussion ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Just to clarify, my point is not about whether you feel Mykoโs good enough or not, itโs about abusing players who represent the club professionally and fully committed. Have an opinion on him as a player by all means but abusing helps nobody
@MattJFootball Secure him before we secure a transfer target.
Hold some value to the club, don't lose ยฃ19m outright.
Capable back up if we can improve in that position.
He needs competition and replacing. But not having a senior left back at all would be criminal
@ShaySweeney1962 Did Moyes and the team miss an opportunity - yes!
Did they underperform? No!
They finished roughly where they expected too given all the metrics. It just feels so much worse the way the season petered out in the end!
No relegation battle for first time in 4 years ๐
This is why Twitter and Evertonians are bad mix.
I'd be very surprised if there is a more reactionary fanbase that is never happy.
And then you get the cat calls depending on which side of the argument you're on ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
Do they though?
Or are they currently in focus after being well run for a few seasons now?
We've tried the 'Iraola' types of hires before also. See:
Martinez
Koeman
Silva
Brighton unearth great managers.
As do Brentford.
And Crystal Palace.
And Bournemouth.
What's the difference between those clubs & Everton, I wonder?
Someone at the top with a VISION?
Everton have tried the Iraola types:
Martinez
Koeman
Silva
Also tried the pragmatic:
Moyes
Dyche
Allardyce
Fans weren't happy
Everton have signed young players.
Fans weren't happy
Everton have signed older players.
Fans weren't happy.
Turns out the fans just aren't for pleasing
@notJoth Same folk (and I was one at the time) that scoffed at links to Adam Wharton few years back.
Only now I don't cry arse "how aren't Everton in for these players"
@DonLeify2@frannyporter Worth noting that Bournemouth, who have had an amazing season compared to last, also only finished one point more on their previous season.
Yes we may have missed an opportunity, but you can't just look at points scored for the reflection overall
@MichaelShoeBobs Roberto Martinez
Ronald Keoman
Sam Allardyce
Marco Silva
Duncan Ferguson
Carlo Ancelotti
Rafa Benitez
Frank Lampard
Sean Dyche
David Moyes
10 different Managers in the last 10 Years!
My mate said to me today we need to be more ruthless! ๐ญ๐ญ
