🇵🇱🤝🇭🇺 “Hungary can always count on Poland” — Speaker of the Sejm @wlodekczarzasty met with the newly elected Hungarian Prime Minister @magyarpeterMP at the Polish Parliament.

The talks focused on renewing Polish-Hungarian relations and strengthening regional cooperation within the #VisegradGroup.

Speaker Czarzasty also expressed confidence that the #V4 will once again become an important platform for cooperation in Central Europe. The Speaker of the #Sejm also announced that he had invited the Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, Ágnes Forsthoffer, to visit Poland.

🇵🇱🤝🇭🇺 Speaker of the Sejm @wlodekczarzasty held talks today with the newly elected Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, Ágnes Forsthoffer. He invited Speaker Forsthoffer to visit Poland. It will be the first foreign trip of Hungary’s new parliamentary leader.
During the videoconference, the politicians discussed cooperation within the European Union, support for Ukraine and cooperation within the Visegrad Group.

Speaker of the Sejm @wlodekczarzasty met with Speaker of the Slovak National Council @Richard_Rasi at Bratislava Castle.
The discussions focused primarily on regional security, the future of Central Europe, and continued support for Ukraine.

🇵🇱 💬The Speaker of the Sejm emphasized the importance of cooperation within the Visegrád Group in the context of the security of #Poland, #Slovakia, and Europe as a whole. He noted that the current geopolitical situation and the challenges facing the countries of the region justify maintaining an intensive dialogue, including on issues where the positions of individual states do not always fully align.

Representing the Polish side in the delegation talks were:

🔹@MalgorzataPepek, Chair of the Polish-Slovak Parliamentary Group;
🔹@JerzyPolaczek, Deputy Chair of the Group;

🇸🇰💬 Speaker Richard Raši stated that cooperation with Poland is of great importance to Slovakia. “Poland is a very important partner in the EU, NATO, as well as in security and economic matters. We place great value on this partnership.” He also proposed expanding parliamentary contacts to include cooperation between youth #parliaments, including meetings between representatives of Poland’s Children and Youth Sejm and its Slovak counterpart.
Both Speakers agreed that work should begin to turn this idea into reality, as it could help build strong and lasting ties between young generations of Poles and Slovaks.

🇵🇱🤝🇲🇩 A delegation of the Presidium of the Foreign Affairs Committee visited #Chișinău on 10–12 May.
Discussions focused on Russia’s war against Ukraine and its consequences, the regional security situation, and Poland’s support for Moldova’s European aspirations.
At the invitation of Deputy Speaker of the @Parliament_RM Doina Gherman, MPs @WojciechowskaKO, @SchaedlerEwa and @radekfogiel held a series of meetings with parliamentary and government representatives.

Visit of a Parliamentary Delegation of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia 🇱🇻🤝🇵🇱
On April 27–28, a delegation of the Latvian–Polish Parliamentary Group of the @Jekaba11 visited Poland. Latvian politicians came to the #Sejm of the Republic of Poland to discuss security-related issues.
The delegation observed the opening of the Sejm’s sitting from the plenary hall gallery. They then met with the Polish–Latvian Parliamentary Group and Deputy Marshal of the Sejm @szymon_holownia. A meeting also took place with members of the Sejm’s National Defence Committee.

🇵🇱🤝🇱🇹 On April 27 at the #Sejm, Speaker @wlodekczarzasty met with Speaker of the #Seimas Juozas Olekas to discuss the international situation, global security challenges, and Polish–Lithuanian economic & parliamentary cooperation.

🗨️‘It was a good meeting. A meeting of friends who are thinking about the future together. We are Lithuania’s largest economic partner. We intend to further develop this,’ emphasized the Speaker of the Sejm after the meeting.
🗨️The Speaker of the Seimas highly praised the level of interparliamentary cooperation. “The Parliamentary Assembly is very active, and committees meet regularly, maintaining an ongoing dialogue,” he noted.

The meeting of the parliamentary leaders was also attended by Deputy Speaker of the Sejm @DorotaNiedziela, who also serves as Chair of the Delegation of the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Polish and Lithuanian parliaments.

🕯️Representatives of the Polish–Australian and Polish–New Zealand Parliamentary Groups took part in ceremonies marking #ANZACday.
The parliamentarians laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to commemorate the contribution and sacrifice of the citizens of New Zealand and Australia who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations, and to express respect for those who are currently serving.

🇵🇱🤝🇫🇮 April 21. Defense cooperation and countering Russia’s threat were at the center of talks between Speaker of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty and Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Jussi Halla-aho.
Discussions also covered:
🇺🇦 the war in Ukraine
🌍 transatlantic relations
🌐 the situation in the Middle East
#Poland and #Finland share a common view: Russia’s aggression poses a serious threat, and the outcome of the war in Ukraine is crucial for our security. Both sides stressed the need for stronger defense cooperation and greater EU engagement, while reaffirming continued support for Ukraine.
@wlodekczarzasty highlighted the importance of Poland–Finland partnership and the role of the Nordic region in strengthening security in Central & Eastern Europe and the Baltic Sea.
@Halla_aho pointed to both conventional and hybrid threats from Russia, including migration pressure. He noted that Finland faces challenges similar to those at the Polish-Belarusian border and emphasized valuable cooperation between Polish and Finnish border services.
