We’ve reached a point where everyone is a marketer, a critic, a publicist, an A&R exec ,all at once. So who’s just listening to music for the love of it. When the audience becomes the boardroom, nobody’s left in the crowd.
Yall need to go back to just enjoying things without feeling the need to tell them how their “roll out”” should look like and what their “branding” should be.
Just press play and jam and if you no like that one, find the one that you like
If you still listen to mainstream music like Taylor Swift or Drake you are putting money in the pockets of the rich. Try supporting some underground music for once.

You see this when albums release, immediate requests to change track listing, add other artists, show more of the BTS, be more online, respond to questions. The fans now think they should be listened to, the art tweaked at their request
The parasocial relationships have proliferated meaning stans and fans feel entitled to more, more “proof” of work rate, artistry, campaigns. They want to be part of the process, listened to when the “advise” or demand, and expect rapid response to their qualms it’s bizarre
There’s a new age entitlement that’s come with fans and stans gaining more access to the artist via social media. The synthetic personalisation they’ve emitted by strategically showing “more” of themselves on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Snap, and through mailing lists has, by default, raised the bar on expectations.
Jay Z is one of the most experienced rappers who still gets on stage and y’all are trying to hyper analyze him with hyper illiteracy and it’s truly so sad to see 😭
I don’t care about who you like, pick up a book and READ. Rapping at this level is not surface level.
I knew rap fandom was on the decline when new listeners started making fun of lyrical rap saying it was 'too wordy' 'too smart' it's a shame their English exams weren't wordy enough!!

Sometimes the difference between one artist blowing up and another artist staying stuck is simply visibility.
People can’t support music they never hear. 🎵
why is marketing & advertising looked at as a bad now? and why are ppl acting like they just uncovered some new evil thing?
Brands have been using influencers to influence people to buy their products for 100 years
