The Japanese site DLsite reported that its alternative bank payment system has surpassed 100 million yen in monthly transactions.

Awhile back Payment Processors like VISA basically told DLSite to censor itself or die.

However DLSite chose a third option to find a different payment method to phase out VISA and Mastercard to avoid restrictions.

The service was developed in partnership with Minna Bank to enable customers to directly link their bank accounts and make purchases without relying on foreign payment networks, which had suspended operations on the site due to demands regarding adult content.

So overall this is a massive victory for artists
