The billionaire oligarch who got $38 billion from the US government, and successfully lobbied for tariffs on his Chinese competitors, preaches the "gospel of free market capitalism".
This is how capitalism always works: preach the "free market" for others, but never yourself.
The debate moment from Tuesday night in which I got Daily Wire podcaster and pro-Trump pundit Michael Knowles to unwittingly concede, by how own definition, that Trump is a "lawless" president.
Enjoy! 😉
I haven't seen anyone tracking all of the alleged (or open) Trump corruption, self-dealing, and quid pro quos in one place. For the last 15 months, I've been tracking every single tip+story I can find and organizing it. Today, I published a 6,000 word piece with every example.
“Are you concerned about insider trading on these prediction markets re: the war?”
TRUMP: “The world is a casino. It is what it is.” 🤷🏼
And there you have it, folks!
Has a single journalist with access asked Schumer about this absolutely unhinged speech, and how it's fundamentally out of line with public opinion (and our secular Democracy)?
The New York Times: In the months leading up to the midterm elections, hundreds of A.I.-generated pro-Trump influencer accounts have emerged on social media
This is what a broken healthcare system & rigged tax code looks like:
Last year, CVS paid $0 in federal income taxes, raised premiums by nearly 20%, cut over 1,800 jobs, gave its CEO $21 million & made $6.57 billion in profit.
Yes. We must tax the rich & enact Medicare for All.
Amazon, which saved $4B in taxes under Trump's Big Ugly Bill, has cut 30,000 jobs since last October.
Verizon, which saved $2B, plans to cut 15,000 jobs this year.
Meta, which saved $3B, plans to lay off 20% or more of its workforce.
Trickle-down economics is a cruel joke.
Kent remarried four years after the death of his wife.
Another reminder that Trump is both a serial liar and a truly awful human being.
If you support, like, vote for him, there’s something truly wrong with you.
The fraud case Miller is referencing is Feeding Our Future. The ringleader who went to prison is Aimee Bock. The federal sweep that followed produced zero Somali American fraud defendants.
Miller's anecdote — Somali neighbor, Mercedes, never works, lied on a form, unlimited free money — is not from a case file. It is a character he invented at a White House table to put a face on federal enforcement. The Vice President sat next to him while he delivered it.
That is the distinction that matters here. Fraud is real and should be prosecuted wherever it occurs. The administration's own prosecution record shows who actually ran it. When a senior government official replaces that record with an ethnic caricature in an official proceeding, he is not fighting corruption. He is building a target list that the evidence does not support. Working families in Elkhart and Evansville and the Twin Cities deserve enforcement that follows the facts, not the anecdote.
It’s not “mysterious” trading.
It’s insider trading.
Trump gutted the DOJ office that investigates and prosecutes corrupt government officials — reducing it from 36 to 2, and fired the ethics watchdog that investigates corruption in the executive branch.
This is what oligarchy looks like.
50 billionaires have spent $433 million to buy the elections in November.
80% is going to candidates who supported a $1 trillion tax break for the top 1% & a $1 trillion cut to Medicaid & the Affordable Care Act.
We must end Citizens United.
Absolute insanity. Since Citizens United outside spending in elections has skyrocketed by nearly 680 percent to 4.5 billion dollars. It is no wonder voters feel like politicians only work for big business and the super wealthy. The system is completely broken.
If no one else wants to say it, I will:
Stop calling it a TSA crisis.
It’s not broken. It’s being broken on purpose.
Project 2025, page 159.
This is how control gets sold to the public.
You better vote.
One of the most consistent, vehement complaints about Obama was he released funds of $1.7 billion to Iran (they think Obama gifted it to them, rather than released their funds we stole, but whatever).
Trump's lifting of sanctions on Iran this week could generate $14b for Iran:
Nothing makes screening lines go faster than keeping the number of screeners the same insufficient level but adding lots of people wearing idiotic Rambo gear to just stand off to the side and look at the lines. Peak American Ideas here.
